The Danny Frawley Centre is committed to bettering the mental health outcomes of the community. That is why this Mental Health Awareness Month, we are offering FREE programs every Thursday for the whole month.

Workshop 1: Exploring our Mental Fitness
Date: 3 Oct – 6pm
Utilising the practices and processes that underpin our elite teams, our flagship program aims to teach the community how to train their mental fitness and perform at their best on and off the field.
Workshop 2: Healthy minds, Connected Families, Thriving Communities with ISN Clinic
Date: 10 Oct – 6pm
Increase mental health literacy and help build understanding around signs, symptoms, help-seeking and supporting a friend. Plus, some practical skills and strategies to improve mood and manage stress and anxiety.
This will be facilitated by Dr Emma Nicholls, senior Clinical Psychologist and Director of Clinical Services at ISN Clinics. Emma has a wealth of experience in working with individuals and families with a range of mental health issues, from stress and relationship issues to depression, anxiety, PTSD and personality disorders. Emma will be joined by psychologists and provisional psychologists who work at the ISN @ DFC Clinic.
Workshop 3: Lived Experience with Justin Koschitzke
Date: 17 Oct – 6pm
Retired AFL player and mental health advocate Justin Koschitzke will speak on the struggles he faced throughout his career. Justin is committed to dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide, fostering a supportive dialogue, and equipping people with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate their mental health journeys and life transitions.
Workshop 4: MindFit for Work | Be Habit Fit
Date: 24 Oct – 6pm
Be Habit Fit is one of four of our MindFit For Work Programs and is all about reducing psychological risk and adopting healthy behaviour habits.
Workshop 5: SafeTALK | Suicide Prevention Training
Date: 31 Oct – 4pm – 7pm
SafeTALK is a training course on suicide and mental ill health alertness. It helps participants recognise a person with thoughts of suicide and connect them with resources that can help them in choosing to live. Participants will come away with a SafeTALK certificate.
